Resident Meal Plans

In order to meet your campus dining needs, we have designed the following meal plans for the 2016-2017 academic year. If you need to purchase a meal plan, or if you would like to make a change to the plan you have already selected, please contact the Office of Residence Life during the first two weeks of fall and winter semesters.

Meal Plan Options

The following block plans provide a specific number of meals per semester to be used in the Titan Dining Room. Flex Dollars may be redeemed at the Dental School, The Loft, Simply to Go, Titan to Go, or Tommy's.

  • 255 Block Meal Plan with $150 in Flex
  • 190 Block Meal Plan with $300 in Flex
  • 120 Block Meal Plan with $500 in Flex

What is a meal?
With one swipe of your ID, you will receive a delicious, all-you-can-eat meal in the Titan Dining Room! In addition, with one quick swipe of your ID at The Loft, you can receive many different meal options to fill you up!

What is flex?
Flex is like a debit card, only easier! Included in your meal plan, your ID is loaded with "cash" that can be used at Titan to Go, The Loft, Subway, Starbucks, Tommy's, and Cafe a La Cart. After your transaction, your receipt will show your new balance of flex and meals so you can keep track of your balance. Your can also ask Sodexo workers what your balance is without even paying for a meal!

Munch Money

Munch Money is a declining balance account that may be used by students, faculty and staff. Munch Money may be redeemed at the Titan Dining Room, The Loft, Cafe a La Carte, Titan to Go, Tommy's, or the Dental School. It’s convenient, easy to use, and works like a debit banking card. Add to your account at any time and receive a 10% bonus! (Example: Deposit $100 into your account, and we’ll add $10 – for free!)

Munch Money can be added at any time with cash, check, or credit card in the Dining Services Office or here. We accept MasterCard, VISA, Discover and American Express. No meal plan? No problem! Start your Munch Money account today with as little as $25!

Employee Bonus

Employee Bonus works exactly like Munch Money. It is a declining balance account that may be used by students, faculty and staff.Employee Bonus may be redeemed at the Titan Dining Room, The Loft, Cafe a La Carte, Titan to Go, Tommy's, or the Dental School. It’s convenient, easy to use, and works like a debit banking card. Unlike Munch Money, Employee Bonus does not receive a 10% bonus.


Employee Bonus can be added at any time with a university FOAP number in the Dining Services Office, or by emailing Angela Howell, angela.howell@sodexo.com.

Voluntary Meal Plans

Great for commuters! We are now offering Voluntary Meal Plans designed with our faculty, staff and commuters in mind. This semester we are offering two options 10 meals for $65.00 and 20 meals for $120. Meals are for use in the Titan Dining Room only. Meals will expire at the end of the semester. The Voluntary Meal Plans can be purchased at any time with cash, check, or credit card in the Dining Services office, or shop now . We accept MasterCard, VISA, Discover and American Express.

Important Info

Sick Trays
If you are unable to come to the dining hall due to illness, call the Dining Services office at (313) 993-1616 to arrange a sick tray. Your meal may be picked up by another individual who presents your ID. A meal will be deducted from your account or Flex Dollars.

Special Dietary Needs
Do you have particular dietary needs? Our Campus Dining Services program can accommodate your special dietary requirements. For more information, please contact the Dining Services Office.

ID Cards
You must carry your ID card at all times to be admitted for meals. ID cards are non-transferable. If you lose your ID, a new one can be purchased from the Student Life Office on the first floor of the Student Center. New cards must be brought to the Dining Services Office to be activated.

Dining Procedures
One of our main goals is to provide a pleasant, clean, comfortable and satisfying dining experience. In order to meet this goal, we ask for your assistance with the following procedures:

  • Please bus dishes and disposables from your table when you have finished dining
  • Please refrain from taking food, dishes or utensils from the dining area.
  • Remember that Meal Cards are non-transferable. Meal cards cannot be used by anyone but the purchaser.
